Introduction

For the past two years we have had the privilege of working with dealers, galleries, agents and auctioneers from around the world in all matters concerning anti-fraud, payment security and client due diligence.

Naturally - as is the way in the art world - relationships blossom around common interests and tastes. As clients become friends, interesting stories and insights begin to emerge. Art galleries would share their founding story and what led them to the art world. Agents and curators would tell of their first opening night and their first celebrity client.

In July of this year our team decided to formalise these conversations and dig a little deeper into the art world and the people behind the stories. 

With podcasts becoming the medium of the moment, it was a natural choice given the remoteness of the world owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gearing up

After an Amazon spending spree and late nights assembling furniture and configuring audio equipment, the arcarta podcast studio was ready for action. Our first guest, Robert Bowman of Bowman Sculpture London.

Armed with a series of questions, the team dug deeper into Roberts Story, upbringing and career to date. Exploring and documenting avenues of interesting conversation and discussion. 

With a blueprint set, a date was arranged for the recording. Being remote, it was important that our studio could handle recording audio from online conversations (e.g FaceTime Audio, Skype or Zoom) but also that of traditional telephone conversations if a guest decided to dial in using their landline or mobile telephone.

Following post production editing, the first episode of the podcast was successfully uploaded to Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, Stitcher, Deezer, iHeart Radio, Pandora and Youtube, ready for the millions of listeners passing through each day.
