Curated by Katy Hessel, art historian and founder of The Great Women Artists, and artist Deborah Roberts this exhibition at Stephen Friedman Gallery is comprised of 16 contemporary female artists exploring figuration though collage. Standout works include Amy Sherald's, 'A Golden Afternoon' & Deborah Roberts', 'Mud Pie'.
The Show is Over is comprised of sixteen international artists and works towards new ways of interpreting political histories and personal experiences connected to the aftermath of historical violence. With layered installations the exhibition urges viewers to reflect and reconnect in new ways, contributing to a new vocabulary to live and dream with.
